From the Morganwire.com

The Morgan Motor Company promoted a celebrity race with 14 drivers at the Silverstone Raceway last weekend. The show was to benefit the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research. MMC management contacted Morgan community racers to donate their cars to the cause. The celebs were given a bit of training on a practice track (Stowe) but they were not able to drive the main track before the race  as recommended. Two of the 14 borrowed cars were largely destroyed. One of them was the winner of the Morgan Challenge in 2009 and 2010 and favored to repeat the feat this year. Its celebrity driver and ex-football player (1975-1988) , Luther  Blissett, barrel-rolled the championship car three times (he counted!) ending its 2011 season hopes. CLIP. The show was excellent publicity for Morgan and the 14 stars, Jimmy Akingbola, Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman, Heston Blumenthal, Brendan Cole, Zoe Cole, Paul O’Duffy, Vicky Gomersall, Lee McQueen, Alexander Nall-Cain, Rick Parfitt Jr., Paul Stewart, ‘Comedy Dave’ Vitty and Jo Wood. The Morgan Factory has promised to make good any damage done but the Works is shut at the moment. There is hope that the organizers have insurance to cover the losses but no details are forthcoming as yet. We will update the story as facts are received.

 MORGAN TRIKE
The Morgan Motor Car Company announced plans to work with Liberty Motors of Seattle Washington to produce a Three Wheeler molded after the Aero Supper Sport.  The trike is reported to be powered by a Harley Davidson Twin Cam engine.  The new trike is to sell at the $40K level, and will sell in the UK at 30K pounds.
